NLP |
What most people know about communicating is just the tip of the iceberg. NLP is about understanding how people organise their thinking, feeling, language and behaviour to produce the outcomes they do. NLP provides a framework with which we can model the behaviours, thoughts and feelings of successful individuals and so achieve outstanding performance ourselves.

Therapy Summary |
Developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder during the 1970s, the name NLP symbolises the form of mental ‘maps’, i.e. neurological experiences sorted and interpreted through structured communication. A key element of NLP is that we form our own unique mental ‘maps’ of the world as a result of the way we absorb, filter and perceive information gathered from our five senses. Neuro: We have all established our own unique mental ‘filtering’ system for processing the millions of bits of data being absorbed through the senses. Linguistic: We then assign personal meaning to the information being received from the outside world. We then assign language to the internal images, sounds and feelings, tastes and smells, thus forming everyday conscious awareness. Programming: Our unique neurological filtering processes and our subsequent linguistic map produce our behaviours. Or put another way, we end up programming ourselves to act in a certain way according to our own view of the world. The good news is that we can reprogramme ourselves!
